Charleston County Hiring Temporary Election Staff

The Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Charleston County is accepting applications to hire full-time, temporary staff, to assist with the preparation of the November 6, 2012 General Election. Duties include, but not limited to, alphabetizing and filing applications, data entry, customer service, and providing technical assistance. Training provided. The starting salary is $9.18 per hour with a 40+ hour workweek (overtime may be required). Qualified applicants must be a high school graduate or GED with college background. Computer skills preferred. Applicant must have the ability to pass onsite typing and filing test. I just checked with the Charleston County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, and they are still looking for poll workers for precincts in West Ashley, John's Island, Seabrook, Kiawah, Isle of Palms and Mount Pleasant. Call 974-6421 or email pmcarthur@charlestoncounty.org.
