Charleston Police announced the arrest of two men in connection with an armed robbery on Queen Street last Thursday.

Charleston Police arrested Calvin Lamar Snipe, 24, of 2205 Suffolk St. North Charleston and Zachary Lamar Mikell, 23, of 5579 Betty Court North Charleston on Sunday. Snipe is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Mikell is charged with armed robbery, three counts of assault on police while resisting arrest, two counts of throwing bodily fluids and threatening a public official, according to a CPD statement.

Investigators released images of two men deemed persons of interest in the case Saturday and credited the publicity effort with producing the leads that led to Snipe and Mikell.
