A Chicago alderman attempting to block the popular fastfood restaurant Chick-fil-A has released information saying the company has agreed to no longer fund anti-gay groups, according to a Cox News report in the State.
A culture war developed over the summer with the fried chicken joint smack in the middle — pro-gay groups boycotted the restaurants and staged "kiss ins" due to it donating money to anti-gay groups such as Family Research Council, and free-speech advocates and anti-gay protestors dubbed Aug. 1 as Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
In South Carolina and around the nation, Chick-fil-A restaurants saw long lines that day.
Chick-fil-A has not responded to requests from Patch seeking comment, and did not respond to Cox News for its story either.

Who are these "free-speech advocates" that dubbed August 1 Chick-Fil-A Appreciation day? I don't think I ever saw any equal rights supporters suggest that Chick-Fil-A didn't have the right to out themselves as rights oppressors, in fact saw many suggesting that the right to free speech is what brought their formerly oppressive policies to light. The people that participated in Chick-Fil-A Appreciation day aren't free speech advocates. They're anti-equal rights for gays protesters.
I had two Chick-Fil-A breakfast bite things this morning. Honestly pretty mediocre; I thought redemption would taste better.

JoSCh,
Let's dial it back a notch or two. Unconscionable is a bit strong.
Thanks,

Unconscionable: not guided or controlled by conscience

I guess you haven't read WND. They believe that the 9/11 attacks were divine and righteous justice; God punishing America for its depravity. They believe that the Nazi's were a secretly gay sect and using their twisted logic they imply that gays are secretly Nazis. Unconscionable is right on; those people and the people that support them are monsters. They occupy exactly the same moral ground as the Westboro Baptists.

I am done with them. They have backed down but I won't and neither will God.

Veteran47, Another shining example of Chucktowne Christianity! Hospitality is directly proportional to the color of your skin and the choice of your creed!
Love thy neighbor? F- that! If you can tell that this guy next to you in line wants to stick his sexual organ in a place you don't want to then you better bigot up!

If a guy next to me in line wants to have sex and I don't it doesn't make me a bigot. It just makes me not gay. What kind of lines are you standing in?

@JoSCh:
I'm beginning to wonder if your sarcasm meter is broken, Money Loo's post was pretty much dripping with it.

He missed the sarcasm in another thread re: Mt. P. Police cleaning up yards...

@Jonathan, meh, maybe. I thought his first para was cynical but accurate, the second really doesn't even make much sense having read it again. I get what he's trying to say, but it reads strangely and probably doesn't help the... people... he's trying to educate about homosexuals, not that there is much hope for them. Anyway, I'm sorry if my reaction bothered anyone or spoiled anyones fun, that wasn't my intent.
Also, I don't get emails when you admin/mod/editor types post on a thread, just FYI. I do when regular users post.

Either way, I like their chicken. They were smart to take the same piece of chicken breast and shape it into every single item on their menu. Whether Chick-fil-A sends their money to anti-gay groups or not, gay marriage is inevitable. The Supreme Court will have to tackle the Equal Protection/Due Process issue at some point, and when they do, the Court will be hard-pressed to find a legitimate reason for states to deny gay people the same rights everyone else enjoys.
