Mellow Mushroom Featuring New Menu Items
Hoping to recreate the success of the first Avondale Restaurant Week, Mellow Mushroom Avondale is featuring some new menu items alongside some perennial favorites

Mellow Mushroom Avondale has packed its Restaurant Week menu with perennial favorites like the three pretzel appetizer and Kosmic Karma pizza. The restaurant is also showing off some new menu items.
"There's not much that we left out," General Manager Claire Smith said. "We kind of picked some of our most popular menu items and some of the new ones like the Holy Shiitake and Thai Dye."
The Restaurant Week menu also includes dishes like The Boot and The Caesar, pizzas only available at the Avondale and Downtown Mellow Mushrooms. The restaurant did not include some of the more complicated specialty salads on the 3-for-$20 menu, but it did include a new salad option, the Enlightened Spinach salad.
"The first Avondale Restaurant week was very successful, it was one of our busiest weeks ever," Smith said. "So we were really excited to do it again."
This time, Smith added, the kitchen staff knows what to expect, and they're hoping for a repeat of the success from the first Avondale Restaurant Week held back in February.
Triangle Char & Bar, Al-Di-La, Pearlz Little Oyster Bar and The Roost are also participating in the second Avondale Restaurant Week with 3-for-$20 meal deals.
