New CVS Opens Later this Month
Construction and roadwork is finished around the new CVS at Orange Grove Road and Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, the store opens later this month
Work crews have finished all the major exterior construction at the new CVS Pharmacy location at the intersection of Sam Rittenberg Boulevard and Orange Grove Road.
The store, the company's 26th location in the Charleston Metropolitan area, opens on Sept. 27.
When it tore down the old Burger King that used to stand on that corner, CVS worked with the City of Charleston to reroute the frontage road that runs parallel to Sam Rittenberg Boulevard around the new store. Instead of dumping traffic into an already busy intersection, or sending it through a parking lot, it now connects to Orange Grove Road farther away from Sam Rittenberg Boulevard.
