Police Searching for Approved Cash Loans Robbery Suspect

Charleston Police are seeking the public's help identifying a suspect accused of robbing Approved Cash Loans on May 4

Charleston Police are searching for the man who allegedly robbed Approved Cash Loans on Savannah Highway on Saturday, May 4.

Investigators released a sketch of the man, described as a black male with a dark complexion, 30-35 years old, between 5-feet 6-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 190-200 pounds, with "scruffy" facial hair and short curly hair. He wore jeans and a black T-shirt, which was pulled up to cover the lower portion of his face during the alleged robbery.

The robbery occurred around 9:40 a.m. Saturday. The suspect was not armed, but he was carrying a black zipper-style cooler bag with a shoulder strap, according to a CPD incident report. The robber fled the store with approximately $1,500 in cash.
