We've been weighing some serious issues in our polls lately. Gun control and gay marriage most notably. Today? Not so much.
The song 'Call Me Maybe' by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen is officially huge, and can safely be called the song of the Summer of 2012. How huge? The video has received 176 million views (and counting) on YouTube.
But a song isn't really a full-fledged phenomenon until it's been parodied. And that's where 'Call Me Maybe' has had a second life bigger than its first. Parodies are now more ubiquitous than the song itself. Here are five of the best:
- The Cookie Monster
- Harvard Baseball Team
- Army*
- USA Swim Team
- Xavier Basketball Coach Chris Mack and family
What's your favorite?
NOTE: The soldiers were initially identified as being Marines. Thanks to Amber K for correcting us in the comments section.

That Marine video had Army soldiers in it. No Marine would wear an Army shirt (and I'm sure visa versa). ;-)

Oh no! Thanks for catching that Amber! I've corrected it.
