Wonder Works Named SCORE Small Business of the Year

SCORE a nationwide nonprofit that assists entrepreneurs create and build businesses has chosen Wonder Works as its Small "For Profit" Business of the Year

Wonder Works has garnered its share of attention over the years, winning several awards and consistently getting involved in the community.

Now SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide, is recognizing the company as it's Small "For Profit" Business of the Year.

"This is such an amazing honor," owner Christine Osborne said. "The entire Wonder Works staff goes above and beyond to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our customers and the community."

Wonder Works has been a member of SCORE since it opened in 1990. The company expanded over the years and now has four locations: on Savannah Highway in West Ashley; in the Great Hall in the City Market; in Belle Hall Shopping Center in Mount Pleasant; and at Freshfields Village on John's Island.

"Our first SCORE mentor, Bud Garforth, was there with us in the beginning answering all of our questions and helping us set the groundwork for success," Osborne said. "We took his advice and contributing elements to the next level, and now have a business model that is so unique, wonderfuntastical and full of momentum."
