TAI CHI CHUAN Tai Chi Chuan (Great Ultimate Fist) is a Chinese Martial Art practiced by people all over the world.Tai chi Chuan or Tai Chi is a gentle exercise for young and old alike that is often referred to as “moving meditation.” Its movements are usually done slowly and timed evenly to one’s breathing. As one move ends, another begins, keeping the practitioner in a state of constant, flowing motion.Tai Chi allows the student a means of improving STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY, BALANCE, RELAXATION, AND EVEN ONE’S KNOWLEDGE OF SELF-DEFENSE. It promotes inner strength while keeping the body relaxed and supple: Thus the phrase “ a needle wrapped inside cotton” is often used to describe a Tai Chi Master.
