Emily's Ride For PACE Accepting Donations

Lowcountry motorcycle riders will be embarking on Emily's Ride for PACE in August, and organizers are already accepting donations to help the charter school.

PACE Charter School helps make the lives of children with multiple disabilities easier.

"I'm really hoping we get a good turnout for the kids," Allison Closson said.

Closson, her husband Robbie and their partner Chris Minichiello at Holy City Designs in Ladson agreed to serve as one of two registration and donation collection points for the ride. Jason's Garage in Mount Pleasant is the other registration and collection location.

The ride is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17. Registration at Holy City Designs or Jason's Garage is from 10 - 11:30 a.m. that day. At 11:30 riders will head to Lowcountry Harley Davidson, and then at 1 p.m. the groups from both registration locations will head over to PACE Charter School.

Donations for Emily's ride can be dropped off at either location from now until the ride.

The organizers of Emily's Ride are collecting a list of supplies the school needs including:
paper towels
baby wipes
hand sanitizer
toilet paper
changing pads
hypoallergenic laundry detergent
dish soap
diapers (size 6 to adult)
PediaSure nutrition drinks
feeding tubes
any Lysol products
batteries (all sizes)
hand soap
latex gloves
