Carson-Newman A Cappella Choir Performing in West Ashley

Ashley River Baptist Church will host the Carson-Newman A Capella Choir on March 21

The 50-member Carson-Newman University A Cappella Choir is coming to Charleston in March.

The group, the university's premier touring ensemble, will perform at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, March 21 at Ashley River Baptist Church at 1101 Savannah Hwy.

"A Cappella is the University's most select audition-only ensemble. We are faith-based and stress quality performance in reflection of the gifts God has blessed us with," said Dr. Eric Thorson, the ensemble's director as well as a Carson-Newman professor of music. "I like to say that God has perfect pitch but we offer our best and, through grace, he accepts the best we have."
