Celebrate the start of a new school year at the First Day Festival on Sunday, August 18, 2013, 1-4 p.m. at Liberty Square at the SC Aquarium and the Charleston Maritime Center.
The festival is FREE and features education exhibits, healthy snacks, recreation activities, face painting, health and wellness, boat rides, tours of the SC Aquarium and tours of the Fort Sumter Museum.
$1.00 parking is available at the Gaillard and Aquarium garages. A shuttle will be provided from the Gaillard Garage. Attendees are asked to please bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
