The Roost Plating Up the Favorites for Restaurant Week

For the Second Avondale Restaurant Week, The Roost is offering several popular menu items for less

The First Avondale Restaurant Week was successful enough to warrant a second, and The Roost, which participated the inaugural event is at it again this week.

"Doing it twice a year following Charleston Restaurant Week is great," Manager Reay Rountree said. "We're giving our customers an opportunity to try multiple things on our menu."

With a 3-course meal for $20, customers get a break on the normal menu price for an appetizer, main course and dessert, Rountree said. With five appetizers, seven main courses and two dessert options, he said the idea is to give customers a wider range of choices than most of the downtown restaurants offer during Charleston Restaurant Week.

The Roost also created the two dessert dishes - Tirimisu and Guinness Chocolate Mousse Cake - new for the promotion.

"The menu is mostly what most people order when they come in," Rountree said. "We wanted to give it to them, our regulars, for a better price and hopefully they'll try some more things."
