Select Health associates support March of Dimes

Select Health of South Carolina associates, led by the Medicaid managed care organization’s Bright Start® prenatal program and Employee Activity Committee (EAC), rallied in support of the March of Dimes’ annual March for Babies, raising $2,160.95 to help prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.

Internal fundraising activities included donations to participate in the company’s “Spirit Week,” the sale of T-shirts, baked goods and hotdogs as well as a “Purses for Premies” resale program. In addition, more than 60 Select Health “Walking Warriors” participated in the Charleston March for Babies. Matching funds from Select Health increased the donation to $4,321.90.

(L-R) Select Health associates Sarah Griffin, care connector; Maribel Vlahogiannis, executive assistant and EAC member; Joel Baumgardner, technical support supervisor, EAC chairperson and “Walking Warriors” team lead; Keri Moore, care manager; Tania Cragg, supervisor of integrated care management and EAC member and Cindy Helling, executive director, presented the donation to Mary Whiteside, community director, March of Dimes.
