THOMAS & HUTTON ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBER GENERAL HENRY L. TAYLOR

Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce the addition of Brigadier General (Retired) Henry L. Taylor to its board of directors.

Hank is the former vice president of global business development for the three-county Charleston Regional Development Alliance. His responsibilities there included global marketing of Dorchester, Charleston, and Berkeley Counties, and facilitating the relocation and expansion of companies in the region.  Prior to that, he served at the South Carolina Department of Commerce, recruiting new businesses and expanding existing businesses in the state.  In addition to working with economic development professionals and local leaders in all 46 South Carolina counties, Hank traveled to Japan, Canada, Dubai, United Kingdom, France and Germany to carry the South Carolina message. 

“Hank’s expertise in strategic planning and leadership development will be a terrific contribution as we continue to assess opportunities for the company and train an already outstanding workforce. We welcome him to our board,” said John Lientz, Thomas & Hutton’s board chair.

Hank currently serves on the board of directors for the Merex Group, a global provider of comprehensive support for U.S. manufactured legacy defense platforms. He is also an active member of the board of advisors for the SunTrust Bank in the greater Charleston region.  Hank has served on the board of directors of the Greenville Area Development Corporation as chairman of the Public Relations Committee. He was also director of site operations and vice president/general manager for Aircraft Sustainment, Lockheed Martin Logistics Services in Greenville.

Hank served 33 years of active military service in the United States Navy and the United States Air Force.  He retired from active duty in 2005 as vice director for logistics, J-4, having served as a key advisor to the chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff.

Hank has earned the following degrees:

·         Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Cum Laude, from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

·         Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma

·         Master of Science in National Security Strategy from National Defense University in Washington, DC
