Man Shouting Racial Slurs Beaten By More Than 40 People

Police say an intoxicated man directed racial slurs at two black men who later returned with dozens of their friends.

An intoxicated man who witnesses say aggravated a crowd of people in Myrtle Beach with insensitive comments is recovering after being beaten by dozens of people.

Myrtle Beach Police said that officers found the 33-year-old white male unconscious on the sidewalk after reportedly making sexually explicit comments to women and taunting two black men with racial slurs.

His specific words have not been described. Police said that according to witnesses, the two men he directed the slurs at returned to the scene with around 40 people.

Officers are looking for those in the group who attacked the man.
