Woman Assaulted with Pepper Spray

A West Ashley woman was assaulted at her front door with pepper spray last Friday

Charleston Police are looking for a pair of women that assaulted a West Ashley woman at her home with pepper spray last Friday.

Around 11:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, two women knocked on the victim's front door and asked to speak with her when the victim's mother answered. After a brief conversation, the victim told police she told the women to leave and said she was going to call the police department, according to a Charleston Police Department report.

At that point one of the assailants called out the victim's name. As the victim turned around to face the pair again, one of the women sprayed the victim with pepper spray. The women then fled the scene.
