COLUMBIA - West Ashley High School and University of South Carolina alum Garrett Chisolm signed a free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins, according to a USC press release.
Chisolm played on the Gamecocks offensive line beginning in 2009 when he walked on and worked his way up form the scout team to multiple starts. He was one of eight former Gamecocks to sign free agent deals with NFL teams.
Chisolm graduated from West Ashley High School in 2006.
Other Gamecocks who signed deals include defensive tackle Ladi Ajiboye (Seattle Seahawks), fullback Patrick DiMarco (San Diego Chargers), offensive lineman Hutch Eckerson (San Diego Chargers), wide receiver Tori Gurley (Green Bay Packers), offensive lineman Jarriel King (New York Giants), punter/placekicker Spencer Lanning (Chicago Bears), and tight end Weslye Saunders (Pittsburgh Steelers).
