Sprite, Piggly Wiggly Offering Park Upgrades

Sprite and Piggly Wiggly are teaming up to provide $15,000 grants to upgrade basketball courts in parks in Charleston, Florence and Columbia

With the click of a mouse you can help upgrade a basketball court at a West Ashley park.

Sprite and have teamed up for the "Sprite Sparks Parks with Piggly Wiggly" program to award $15,000 grants to three park renovation projects in South Carolina. A grant will be awarded in Charleston, Florence and Columbia to install a new basketball court, and your vote can make a difference.

Votes will be counted through Sept. 30, and the winning parks in each community will be announced on Oct. 2.

Three Charleston parks are included in the online voting, including two in West Ashley — Willie Gaines Playground in the Orleans Woods area and Deming Playground located in the Maryville/Ashleyville area. The other project in Charleston is Martin Park in the Eastside area Downtown.

The contest requires you enter a valid email address, and is open to South Carolina residents at least 18 years of age. Voting is limited to one vote per email address per day.
