One winning ticket was sold the the record $590 million Powerball jackpot on Saturday. The winning ticket was sold in Florida with the numbers 10, 13, 14, 22, 52 and 11, according to Powerball. So unless you picked up a Powerball ticket while driving through Florida sometime within the past three days, you weren't the big winner, but eight other combinations of the winning numbers can still net you some cash.

South Carolina woman wins "American Idol."
Candace Glover, 23, of Beaufort has won season 12 of "American Idol." Glover has received lots of support from her home state Fox Carolina reported: Glover said: "I'm the poster child for perseverance and determination." The Bishops left a lot of runners on base in their AA State Championship series fianle loss to Chesnee Friday. The Eagles pulled into the lead with a run in the fourth inning and extended it to 5-0 after adding another four runs in the fifth. Bishop England threatened a comeback, plating three runs in the seventh then loading the bases again before Chesnee managed to make the game's final out, the Post and Courier reports (subscription required). Bishop England also loaded the bases in the third inning before a double play sent the Bishops back into the field. Academic Magnet was two minutes away from back-to-back defeats in the state girls AA soccer finals after spending much of the game in Christ Church Episcopal School's end without a goal. It appeared that the Raptors were on the brink of being disappointed for the second year in a row. But Raptors star Kallie Peurifoy converted a steal and snapped a shot past the CCEs goalie and tied the score. After two 10-minute overtimes and two 5-minute sudden death periods did not break the tie, the match went to penalty kicks. Each team converted their first five attempts, but Christ Church missed its sixth. Biggest month-to-month drop in 25 years.
The unemployment rate in South Carolina fell from 8.4 percent in March to 8.0 in April, according to the latest report from the Department of Employment and Workforce. The month-to-month decrease is the largest since May of 1987 and the overall unemployment rate is now the lowest it's been since October 2008. Since April 2012 more than 26,000 jobs have been added to South Carolina's economy. All 46 counties added jobs in the last month and three counties--Charleston, Greenville and Lexington--now have unemployment rates below 6 percent. Four counties saw their rates drop a full point since March--Marion, Horry, Barnwell and York.
