Police seeking suspect in shooting off of Falkirk Drive and East Wantoot Boulevard; victim transported to MUSC

A shooting victim has been hospitalized and the suspect is at large, Live 5 News reports.  The shooting took place late Wednesday afternoon in the area of Falkirk Drive and East Wantoot Boulevard in West Ashley. Charleston Police Investigating Shots Fired

Charleston Police found evidence of at least 10 shots fired in the vicinity of Orleans Road and Hazelwood Drive

Charleston Police found 10 shell-casings from two different caliber weapons Monday near the intersection of Hazelwood Drive and Orleans Road according to an incident report. The officers responded to the area around 6 p.m. after neighbors reported hearing shots fired. The residents reported two black males had been involved in the shooting, one of which had been wearing a red shirt. No other description of the men involved was included in the report. Officers found five 9 mm shell-casings in front of 2000 Hazelwood Drive, and about 100 feet away found five more .45 caliber shell casings, the report stated. Police Charge Man in Anita Drive Shooting

Charleston Police announced the arrest of Reginald R. Wescott in connection with a March 9 shooting on Anita Drive that left one man dead

Reginald R. Wescott is charged with murder stemming from an alleged shooting on March 9 on Anita Drive that left a man dead, according to a statement issued by the Charleston Police Department. Wescott, who resides at 11 Anita Drive, also is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to the statement. The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. March 9. The victim, who was found by an Anita Drive resident in his backyard, was transported to MUSC where he later died.

West Ashley Shooting Victim Dies

A man injured in a shooting in West Ashley Tuesday afternoon has died from his wounds

The victim of a shooting Tuesday afternoon in West Ashley died from his wounds at MUSC later that evening, the Post and Courier reports. Joshua Wilder, 25, was pulled from his overturned SUV at the intersection of Magnolia Road and 5th Avenue. Witnesses said they heard several gunshots and saw Wilder's SUV speed through the intersection before flipping over.

West Ashley Shooting Injures One

A man was shot and injured on Anita Drive around 9 p.m. Friday, he is expected to recover.
