Several Charleston area hospitals have been named among the nation's best by U.S. News & World Report.
Both MUSC and MUSC Children's Hospital are nationally ranked in three categories each.
MUSC stands at 17th nationally in Rheumatology, 27th in Ear, Nose and Throat and 40th in Nephrology.
The Children's Hospital is ranked 21st in Pediatrics: Cardiology and Heart Surgery, 31st in Pediatrics: Nephrology and 39th in Pediatrics: Gastroenterology and GI Surgery.
Additionally both Roper Hospital and Roper St. Francis are ranked among the top 10 hospitals in South Carolina and are recognized as high performing in several specialties.
All of the hospitals have higher percentages of patients that would definitely recommend them than both the state and national average as well.
